Before and After School Care
The mission of the Fairfield City School District Latchkey program is to provide experiences that will foster the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child. Latchkey offers before and after-school child care for students enrolled in Fairfield City Schools, grades K-5. *Kindergarten Latchkey is only offered prior to the start of AM kindergarten and at the end of PM kindergarten; kindergarten students cannot enroll in both AM & PM Latchkey.

Enrollment Information
Registrations will be accepted for those children eligible in the order received until the maximum number of spaces allowable by ODE guidelines are filled. Children will attend Latchkey within the school they attend.
Please note: Enrollment in Latchkey for previous years DOES NOT guarantee a spot will be available for your child the next year; you must reapply each year for Latchkey services. Additionally, enrollment in school year Latchkey DOES NOT guarantee a spot for Summer Latchkey.

2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR LETTER TO PARENTS:

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Fairfield City School Latchkey Program! I am excited to see all the returning and new students as we kick off another fantastic year of fun and new experiences.

On a personal note, the Fairfield City Schools Latchkey Program has had a significant impact on my life. Serving as Latchkey Coordinator is a privilege and an honor. As a leader of this program, my goal is to uphold our mission statement, which reads as follows:

"The mission of the Fairfield City School District Latchkey program is to provide experiences that will foster the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child."

I strive to embody and instill these values in my staff. Our goal is to create a safe, accepting, and welcoming environment for all students. We place a strong emphasis on building relationships with you and your child, as we believe that every child should have a supportive community.

This past school year, Fairfield City Schools Latchkey moved to Procare, an online system for student sign-in/out for parents and guardians. We want to thank you for helping us with that transition. This system has improved and streamlined the sign-in/out process for all.

Over the summer, our program launched a Facebook page for Parents and guardians to see the amazing and exciting activities taking place each day. With this use of social media, we are able to meet you where you are. As we continue to grow our Facebook following, we will share updated information about our program. We have included the QR code at the bottom of this letter so you can scan and follow us.

We have something truly special here at Latchkey. My dedicated staff and I want to thank you for entrusting us
with the care of your child. We are excited to see what the school year holds for our program and your children. We are grateful for your trust and support.
