The Latchkey Program follows the Fairfield City School District school year calendar and operates on days that school is in session; with exception of Summer Latchkey which is all summer, 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (not applicable during the summer of 2020).
In the event of bad weather/ school delays or early release times, the program operates on the original schedule to meet the needs of adjusted school hours (open at 6:30 a.m. and children are released to Latchkey when early dismissal occurs, until 6:00 p.m.).

The mission of the Latchkey program is to provide experiences that will foster the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of each child.
Children of Fairfield residents, enrolled in the District in grades K-5 for the current school year are eligible to participate in enrollment.

AM kindergartners are enrolled before school at their home school. PM kindergartners attend their home school when kindergarten lets out for the day unless there is no program. (Home school is where the child will attend 1-5 grades).
