Class Lists  

All class assignments will be mailed to families on August 1, 2024. Students should receive their letter prior to Open House on Aug. 6.  Bus routes will be posted on the district website about one week prior to the start of school.  Be sure to check online for bus information.

 

Summer office hours: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. (closed from 12-1 for lunch)

 

Please Note:  August 7th the offices will be closed from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. for a District-wide Meeting. 

 

The Back-to-School Bash is on Saturday, August 3! The event, hosted by the FCSD Community Diversity Alliance, will again be at Crossroads Middle School from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. It offers backpacks, school supplies, refreshments, and much more - ALL FREE - thanks to the generosity of our community partners. For the third straight year, student-athletes and coaches will provide hands-on fun with stations for Bash-goers to try. Activities will take place in Fairfield Alumni Stadium.

Please note: Your child must be present to receive a backpack and school supplies.  

 

Open House will provide an opportunity for students and parents to meet the teacher, explore the curriculum and learn the classroom expectations.  Open House will be Tuesday, August 6 from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. 

Hours will be as follows:

6:00 p.m.-6:45 p.m.-Grades AM K, 1 and 2

6:45 p.m.-7:30 p.m.-Grades PM K, 3, 4 and 5 

 

Student Hours-8:45-3:15 p.m.

AM Kindergarten-8:45-11:25 a.m.

PM Kindergarten-12:35-3:15 p.m. 

 

Thursday, August 8 is ONLY for students with the last names beginning with A-L

Friday, August 9 is ONLY for students with the last name beginning with M-Z

Monday, August 12 - All students attend! 

 

We encourage everyone to put their children on the bus on the first day of school.  This helps the teachers know what bus to put the child on at the end of the day. (NOTE:  If you pick up your child(ren) at the end of the day, please know it takes extra time to make sure everyone is where they need to be at the end of the first few days of school.

 

School fees for Grades 1, 2, 3, 5 are $60.00, Grade 4 are $ 66.00 and Kindergarten school fees are $40.00.  You may pay school fees online at www.fairfieldcityschools.com using MasterCard or Visa.  Click on the PaySchools Central Link or you may pay with cash, money order, or check payable to South Elementary.  Fees are due Friday, Sept. 27.

Before the beginning of the school year, please log into your account and electronically sign all forms/update contact information.
