Facility Dogs are specially trained to provide physical, social, cognitive, or emotional assistance to community members in schools/classrooms, courthouses, and more. Having a dog at school can help with improving self-esteem, problem-solving skills, encourage body movement, encourage responsibility, and relieve stress/anxiety. We are so excited for Gamma to meet you and your student this year!

Final Forms
It is required for all parents/guardians to complete Final Forms for each child. Please complete this as soon as possible. This will ensure we have all up to date information on our students. Final Forms can be accessed at www.fairfield-oh.finalforms.com.

Fee Waiver Form
Free and Reduced-Price Meals are available to families that believe they may qualify. If your family chooses to apply, please complete the Free & Reduced Meal Price Application. You may also fill it out online. Only one application will need to be filled out per family.
If you want school fees to be waived as well, you must check the box on the back that says, “Yes, I DO want school officials to share information from my Free and Reduced Price Meal Application with any of these programs.”

School Fees
Grades 1, 2, 3, & 5 are $60.00. Grade 4 is $66.00. The kindergarten fee is $40.00. You may pay school fees online at www.fairfieldcityschools.com using MasterCard or Visa. Click on Payschools Central or you may pay with cash or check payable to Fairfield Central Elementary. If paying by cash/check, please have it in an envelope with your child’s name on it. Fees are due Friday, September 13th, 2024.

Visitors
Visitors will be permitted by appointment only. Please contact the person you wish to meet with beforehand to schedule the appointment.

Drop Off
Starting at 8:30 a.m., students may be dropped off at the main entrance of the building. Since there are no teachers to supervise children until 8:30 am, we do not permit children to come to school before that time as we cannot accept responsibility for them. Please do not leave your child(ren) unattended at the main entrance. No adults will be permitted to walk students to class.
Afternoon Kindergarten drop off starts at 12:25 p.m. Again, please do not drop off early or leave your child(ren) unattended at the main entrance.

Everyday Pick Up
If your student will be picked up every day please complete the Everyday Pick Up Form, which is available in the office. After the form is submitted you and your student will receive a pickup tag with a number. Parents can drive through the lot in front of the school, show the family pick-up number, and a staff member will escort your child to your vehicle. The Pick-Up time starts at 3:15 p.m. and ends at 3:40 p.m.

Absence Notes
Attached is an absence note sheet to use for your child’s absence. You may make copies of this if needed. You are allowed 7 absences in a school year. Parents may use the following email address to report student absences: [email protected]. If received by 9:30 a.m. on the morning of the absence, the e-mail notification will serve as both a call in and a parent note. Parents may still choose to call in to report student absences by 9:30 a.m. on the day of the absence and send a note with the child when he/she returns. We need to receive written notification of a child's absence within 3 days of the child's return to school in order for the absence to be considered excused. Please continue to ask for written verification of any doctor/dentist visits, funerals, court dates, etc. and send them in with your child on the day he/she returns to school. Good attendance is critical for success in school.
As I begin my twelfth year as principal of Central Elementary, I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of your child(ren). I will accomplish this by ensuring a clean and sanitized building, setting high academic expectations for all children, and providing supportive systems to ensure all personal needs are met.
Sincerely,
Karrie Gallo

SCHOOL LUNCHES AND FEES
  • Students have the option to pack and to purchase snacks.
o Fees are NOT waived unless you complete the Free and Reduced Lunch Application (the link
can be found in Final Forms) and get approved.

DRESS CODE
  • Let’s do our best to establish good habits from the start! Our most frequent issue is shoes with no
back strap. It is for the safety of students that we require shoes to be firmly attached to feet. Flipflops
and slides are not permitted. Our older students like to bring purses/mini backpacks/fanny
packs and they become a distraction. Please only bring them if it is necessary. Purses/mini
backpacks/fanny packs will need to be kept in their book bags.

SCHOOL ABSENCES
  • Attendance is vital to education. If a student is going to be absent, we must be notified. Please
email [email protected] to report any absences. This will count as a
    written note!
