Brian Begley, Board Vice President

Biography: Lifelong resident of Fairfield. Married to Barbara Begley and has two daughters, Kaitlyn and Lyndsay.
Education: 1983 Fairfield High School graduate; Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration from Illinois State University.
Professional: Vice President and General Manager of Schiff Insurance Agency.
Community Involvement: Past president and current member, Fairfield Rotary Club; Board member and former president, Partners in Prime; served three separate three-year terms on his churches' board of Deacons, and twice been Deacon board chairman; Chairman of the Fairfield Community Foundation Board of Trustees.

Michael Berding, Board President
Term: Current term expires December 31, 2021.
Biography: Born in Cincinnati. Moved to Fairfield in 1990 to send children to Fairfield City Schools. Currently resides in Fairfield Township.  Married to Susan Porteus Berding. Children are: Sarah Fowler (Adam), FHS class of 2003, Abigail Berding ,FHS class of 2008, Cole Berding, FHS class of 2015, and Erik VanZandt, FHS class of 2015. Grandchildren are: Lily Fowler, FHS class of 2029 (North Elementary) and Molly Fowler FHS class of 2032.
Education: Graduate of St. Xavier High School class of 1987

Scott Clark, Board Member

Biography: A resident of Fairfield for 17 years, Clark and his wife, Lori, have three children who attend Fairfield City Schools.
Education: Attended Miami University; American Bankers Association Certification
Professional: Business Development Manager for First Financial Bank 
Community Involvement: President, Rotary Club of Fairfield; Member, FCSD Business Advisory Council; Vice President of local charity Dougie & Ray’s; Vice President, Fairfield Prevention Coalition; Trustee, Fairfield Community Foundation Board.

Jerrilynn Gundrum, Board Member
Term: Current term expires December 31, 2021. 
Biography: Grew up in Fairfield and Fairfield Township. Moved back to Fairfield Township in March 2018. Married to Jason Gundrum and has one grown son and a daughter. 
Education: Earned a Bachelor's degree in Legal Assisting from the University of Cincinnati in 2003 and a Juris Doctor from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2012.
Professional: Attorney since 2012.
Community Involvement: Former board member of the Fairfield Township Youth Basketball League.

Balena Shorter, Board Member
Balena Shorter PhotoTerm: Current term ends December 31, 2023.
Biography: Born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Married to Dennis, two children - Denton, FHS class of 2020 and Brielle, FHS class of 2022; Fairfield Township resident since 2001.
Education: Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, University of Alabama at Birmingham and Master of Science in mechanical engineering, University of Cincinnati.
Professional: Currently a Senior Engineer at Belcan Engineering contracting for General Electric. Areas of specialization are marine and industrial combustion design engineering and commercial engine mounts. Also worked as a stress and fatigue analyst with the Boeing Company responsible for the structural integrity of the Empennage section of the 737 Next Generation aircraft line.
Community involvement: Fairfield Township Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, Community Advocate and Events Planner, Parent Classroom Helper, Parent Resource Team for the District.
