Why We Proofread ... (A Continuing Series)

A 5th-bell student sent this in for extra credit, with the comment "at Lord's Sushi, as you're reading the menu, it says 'root bear,'  not root beer. Pretty sure you don't drink bears."
And she would be correct!!!

Why We Proofread ... (A Continuing Series)

As we near the end of the 2014-15 school year, I just want to remind you a few more times that proofreading is a necessary skill that you will need looooong after you leave Fairfield High School. If you don't polish that skill, you risk being ridiculed in the workplace, and across the Internet.

More from Bell 3

Mr. Braam's 2014-15 Bell 3, and the young ladies who declared themselves to be "Charlie's Angels" (along with numerous photobombers!).

Bell 2

Mr. Braam's 2014-15 Bell 2, Room 3207 (except that the photo was shot in a different room, due to technical difficulties with the sound equipment in 3207!)

A Plea for School Materials

Students: Please, Please, Please ... when you clean out your locker at the end of the year, please do not throw out anything that may be of value for poor students next year. There are many students who cannot afford pencils and binders, much less some of the brand-new clothing I see in the trash cans each year.
If you are getting rid of school supplies or anything else of value, please bring it to me before you leave, and I will be happy to make sure that a student who may need the materials gets them.
Many thanks.

School Lockers For Next Year

On Wednesday, Aug. 5, you may come to the school and choose your locker during your designated time between 4 pm and 8 pm.    Names and times will be posted on the window near Door #3 on Monday, Aug. 3. Please check the list before Aug. 5. You will be sent away if you do not have a lock to put on your locker or if you come at a time other than your designated time. You must arrive in person to select your locker.  You may not have a friend do it for you. Parking passes will also be sold to seniors on Aug. 5.

Free NASCAR Tickets!!!

Attention All Students:  If you are interested in a FREE student ticket to attend the July 11th Advance Auto Parts NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the Kentucky Speedway, they are available in the main office.
