DISMISSAL PLANS
Parents, we want to make sure we know where you want your child to go at the end of each school day.

DAILY PICK UP STUDENTS
IF you are planning to have someone pick up your child EVERY day at 4:00 (which means you do not want us to put them on the school bus), you NEED to fill out the daily student pick-up form below. If you plan to have a daycare pick up your child every day, this is also the form to fill out. We need this information BEFORE the first day of school. If this form is not completed, we assume that you want your child to ride the bus home. Information for bus riders coming soon. https://forms.gle/P4NmYmAE6hdXvupt5

BUS RIDERS
Parents of bus riders, please know that your child will automatically be routed on a bus to your home address unless you complete the Babysitter Transportation form which can be found by clicking the link below. So, if you're wanting your child to ride a school bus to a babysitter (not to your home address), we need this form from you BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS. Remember, we can only transport within the Compass school area, so this only works if your sitter lives in the Compass area. If you need to submit this form, please email it back to ledbetter_j@fairfieldcityschools.com OR stop by Compass between 8-3, Monday- Friday, August 17-21 to fill out a paper copy.

BUS STOP INFO
Bus number, stop location, and arrival time can be found on our website www.fairfieldcityschools.com on August 17.  A link will go live on August 17 where you can enter your address to receive bus info.  Remember, all children are routed to their home address listed on Final Forms, not a babysitter or anywhere else, unless you complete the babysitter transportation form.

Open House/Meet the Teacher Night – GOING VIRTUAL!

We wish we could welcome all families into our school to meet their teachers in person, but since we cannot, we are going virtual!  All teachers will be preparing a virtual open house presentation this year.  Teachers will send a Remind message to their parents on August 17th with info on how to access their virtual presentation.  This is how you will be initially notified of who your child’s teacher is.   Additionally, teachers will mail home welcome letters on Tuesday, August 18th This will be full of needed information to start the school year so be on the look out! There is also a lot of back to school information on our website at www.fairfieldcityschools.com.

Final Forms- VERY IMPORTANT – Take care of this now!

To ensure you receive the Remind information mentioned above, please make sure we have your most up to date contact information in Final Forms.  Final Forms is the new way we are collecting almost all the beginning of the school year paperwork from parents.  This replaces the stack of papers you received in the past in the white folder on Meet the Teacher Night that had to be completed by hand.  If you have not yet completed your Final Forms, you need to do so ASAP.  The link to do so is https://fairfield-oh.finalforms.com/   This is also where you notify the district if you are requesting a laptop/device.  Once the school year starts, we will assess our laptop supply and number of K-5 students in need to determine how to move forward.   Please call us at 858-8700 if you need help completing your Final Forms.

Virtual Option Students

Parents who chose to enroll their child in the virtual option of school instead of our Hybrid Model will receive more information shortly.  The students enrolled in this virtual option are currently getting assigned a Fairfield teacher to guide them through the process of getting a laptop if needed, the online platform, and the expectations.  Stay tuned if this applies to you!

1st Day of School for Hybrid Students (which is everyone not signed up for virtual option)

  • Students with last names A-K have face to face school Monday/Tuesday = first day is August 24th; Students will be given work to complete at home Wed/Thurs/Fri (online and/or paper pencil work)
  • Students with last names L-Z have face to face school Thursday/Friday = first day is August 27th; Students will be given work to complete at home Mon/Tues/Wed (online and/or paper/pencil work)
  • Kindergarten will NOT be doing a staggered start this year

Transportation

Busses will be running! Bus number, stop location, and arrival time can be found on our website www.fairfieldcityschools.com on August 17th.  A link will go live on Aug.17 where you can enter your home address to receive bus info.  Remember, all children are routed to their home address listed on Final Forms, not a babysitter or anywhere else, unless you complete the babysitter transportation form which can also be found on the website.
