Prior to joining the team at the Academy, Chrissy served as an Intervention Specialist at Fairfield South Elementary from 2011-2017.  With Chrissy joining the West staff, the District will be moving forward with a reduction in her administrative position at the Academy.  The District is entering into a period of financial challenges were reductions via attrition are the least impactful for our staff.  We are very grateful to have Chrissy continue making a positive impact on our Fairfield students and staff, and we believe she will be very successful at West Elementary.  Her strong background in special education and knowledge of instructional strategies, coupled with her strong work ethic and commitment to students,  make her a perfect fit for the West Assistant Principal position.

In her role at Milford, she has served as a teacher leader in the building, and as a result, she has had the opportunity to lead in several areas. Those experiences include but are not limited to serving on the district’s COVID planning team, serving on the district’s Strategic Planning Committee, and she wrote and obtained various grants for STEAM-related projects. In addition, she was awarded Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year!  We believe that these experiences will serve her very well as she makes the transition to the Assistant Principal position at Central Elementary.
