Fairfield Homecoming Weekend Kicks off October 4 with 5 p.m. Parade
Fairfield City Schools' homecoming weekend kicks off October 4 with the traditional fanfare - a parade featuring the Fairfield High School Marching Band, floats, convertibles, the homecoming court, and football game, with the high school dance the following night.
Grand Marshal Steve Kessler, a beloved former long-time boys' basketball coach will lead the parade beginning with a 5:00 p.m. step-off from both Sacred Heart and West Elementary. The route is from Magie Avenue to Holiday Drive to Wittenberg Drive, where units will either end at Creekside Middle School on Nilles Road, or head east on Nilles to Fairfield Alumni Stadium.
The undefeated Indians will kick off against Lakota East High School at 7:00 p.m. at Fairfield Stadium. The district will also show appreciation to city and township officials with free admission and refreshments under a tent with special end-zone seating.
