Staggered Start to Kick Off the New School Year in the Fairfield City Schools

For planning purposes, we want to make you aware of a new process for the start of the 2023-2024 school year for all students in kindergarten through 12th grade.

--Only students with last names beginning with the letter A-L will start the 2023-24 school year on Thursday, August 10, 2023.
--Only students with last names beginning with letters M-Z will start the school year on Friday, August 11, 2023.
--All students in grades kindergarten through 12th will attend on Monday, August 14, 2023.
--Additional information will be communicated about preschool during summer break.

We believe this process will result in a more seamless start to the school year and allow time for questions and troubleshooting in smaller numbers.

Parents/guardians of students in blended families, with special
circumstances, or who have questions should contact the front
office of the school their child is attending next fall.
