FCSD Board of Education Approves Recommendations for New Food Service Director & Assistant Transportation Director

We are excited to welcome Kayte Lozier to the position of Food Services Director. Kayte is a Fairfield graduate, who after receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Finance, recently completed her Master's program in Nutrition and Dietetics. Her knowledge and skills in the areas of finance and Nutrition and Dietetics will serve her well in this leadership role. Kayte completed a lengthy two-year program with built-in internships where she gained hands-on training and experience in each area of dietetics.  She spent almost an entire year in the Cincinnati Public Schools where she became well-versed in food safety, menu and product development, USDA programs and regulations, staff training/development, and procurement.  Her supervisor there said she was one of the best interns they've ever had.  We believe that her passion for improving the health and nutrition of school-aged children and her love of FCSD will serve her well in her new role.

We are equally excited to announce that David Oglesby is the next Assistant Transportation Director. David joins our district with over 22 years of experience in the pupil transportation industry. He started out as a bus driver and is eager to start this new leadership position. He comes to us from Kettering City Schools where he has been working very successfully as an assistant transportation supervisor. David has a wealth of knowledge and experience that we are confident will benefit our district. He is dedicated to the transportation industry and wants to ensure our students are transported safely every single day.

Kayte is replacing Liz Wellman, who we wish all the best in her new role in another school district. David replaces Janette Flick, who was recently promoted to Director of Transportation.

Join us in welcoming Kayte and David to the FCSD family!
