Former Defense Secretary Schlesinger discussed U.S. foreign policy since the end of the Cold War. Mr. Schlesinger, who also served as director of the Central Intelligence Agency in the Nixon administration and as energy secretary under President Carter, talked about promoting political and economic change in Eastern Europe. Mr. Schlesinger responded to questions from reporters following his prepared remarks.
