Here is another short School Of Braam video production, this time showing how tone of voice greatly influences meaning in spoken communication, and then explains that writers have to utilize word choice (or diction) to do the same thing with written communication. It is used within a larger Powerpoint that I have created on Diction, Tone, Mood and Author Purpose that utilizes original and recut movie trailers from online sources that show how just changing word choice and tone can completely change the mood and meaning of a text.

I'm here today to talk are you about  total literature means attitude the attitude that a writer or speaker takes tortoise now I'm certain that at one time or another you've heard someone say don't take that tone of voice with me when they say that it probably means somebody said something rude sarcastic or disrespectful in a tone of voice that was unmistakable it could be very very easy to tell what someone means just by the way that they say it  in other words in what tone of voice unless the writer is very very good it can sometimes be very very difficult is the reader the words look at the following phrase three simple words  those three simple words can mean so many different things I convey so many attitudes the different way list what happened here what happened here what happened here what happened what happened to you stop as you can tell tone of voice can imply a great amount about what you're supposed to meet  when you see the words what happened here in print by themselves you have no way of knowing what the author intent was what kind of told was he trying to establish angry  bored curious that's why authors carefully choose their words to Route the entire text is diction to make sure that is readers real really understand his intent  risk being misunderstood thank you
