  • 3:31 Tone and Diction Movie (The Power of Tone and Words)

    Here is another short School Of Braam video production, this time showing how tone of voice greatly influences meaning in spoken communication, and then explains that writers have to utilize word choice (or diction) to do the same thing with written communication.
    It is used within a larger Powerpoint that I have created on Diction, Tone, Mood and Author Purpose that utilizes original and recut movie trailers from online sources that show how just changing word choice and tone can completely change the mood and meaning of a text.
