Biography

My name is Sally Hanes, and I am a third grade language arts teacher at South Elementary School. I have been teaching at South since 1992 in room 310. Before that I taught third grade in Houston, Texas for five years, and fourth grade in Augusta, Georgia for 4 years. I graduated from Bowling Green State University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education grades k-8, and I currently have a master's degree in the Art of Teaching.

My family and I live in Fairfield Township. Both of my children attended South Elementary and went on to graduate from Fairfield High School with honors. My daughter, Addison Bagford, graduated in 2009, and my son, Corey Bagford, graduated in 2013. Both are now in college. My husband, Larry Bagford, works for the City of Hamilton and refs soccer and football and umpires baseball.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, doing jigsaw puzzles, watching sports (expecially the Reds and Browns). My favorite vacation spot is Hilton Head Island, South Carolina where I go every other year with my entire extended family. It is paradise!
