All students and staff have returned safely to the building.
We are following up with you regarding the events of this morning at Fairfield East Elementary. As we stated in an earlier phone call, a bomb threat was called in at 10:05 a.m. that forced the evacuation of students and staff. That threat was not credible, and at noon today, students and staff were returned to the school to resume their day. The administrators and staff followed all safety protocols and worked closely with local law enforcement, fire and safety officials to assess the situation. Multiple districts across Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky also received threats, of which none were credible. All are under investigation. Your child’s safety and well-being is our top priority. It is unfortunate that we live in a time where such threats exist. Our response to this is to be proactive and prepared so that our students are learning in an environment that is safe and secure.
