effective August 1. She will coordinate district preventives and training for students, staff and parents. Donna Martin, currently Fairfield Schools' coordinator of district information, was approved by the school board Thursday (7/13) to serve in this new position. Martin has been with the district since January 2016, splitting her time between assisting with public record requests and communications. Prior to coming to Fairfield, Mrs. Martin taught for nearly 14 years in the Lakota Local School District.
As the Bullying and Harassment Officer, she will coordinate initiatives such as anti-bullying and anti-harassment workshops, training, and programs. Her work will focus on students and staff, but some programs are intended to also engage the community. She will be responsible for maintaining appropriate records regarding bullying and harassment, while reviewing and recommending revisions and updates to policies and procedures. Mrs. Martin will also ensure that allegations of bullying and harassment are appropriately investigated according to Board policy.We believe that Ms. Martin's experience in the classroom and her work with Fairfield will make for a great fit for this new position.
Ms. Raquet comes to Fairfield Schools after spending nearly 20 years in the Mt. Healthy City Schools. There she served in various educational roles. Ms. Raquet has experience in elementary mathematics and science, self-contained teaching in grades 4th and 5th, and supervising after-school tutoring. She most recently served as the Lead Teacher of grades K-6. We are pleased to welcome Ms. Raquet and her wealth of knowledge to the district!
