Christine Zboril was named Dean of Students at the Academy. Christine (also known as Chrissy) has been serving as the Interim Dean of Students at the Academy since February, 2017. We are excited to see her grow in this role. Chrissy participated in our Aspiring Leaders program, and prior to filling in at the academy, she was an Intervention Specialist at South Elementary for over five years. As an Intervention Specialist, she took on other roles that we believe will serve her well - Unit Leader, Building Leadership Team member, and Non-Violent Crisis Prevention Intervention Certified Trainer, to name a few. Chrissy is replacing Aaron Blankenship, who was recently named an Assistant Principal at the high school. She joins newly named Academy Director Kyle Jamison. We are excited about Chrissy and Kyle leading the Academy into the future.
Jennifer Mott is the new Assistant Principal at Fairfield High School. Jennifer joins us from Highlands High School in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, where she taught Spanish. She also taught at Sycamore Junior High School and Mason High School. After six years of experience in the education, Jennifer is very excited about transitioning to an administrative role. Because she and FHS Principal Bill Rice worked together at Mason High School, Bill had the opportunity to observe Jennifer’s dedication to the profession. Jennifer describes the high school as an incredible place in a community that supports its schools. We believe that her experiences, organization, and passion for kids will serve her well. We are very excited about Jennifer joining our administrative team.
David Maine is the new Principal at Crossroads Middle School. David comes to us from the Northwest Local School District. He has been principal at Pleasant Run Middle School since 2002. Prior to that, David was an Assistant Principal at Chaboya Middle School in San Jose, California. He has served at the middle school level his entire professional career. According to the ODE, the Northwest Local School District is the #1 similar district for our district in the state of Ohio. This is just one reason that we anticipate that David’s transition will be a smooth one. He is replacing Dr. Michael McCrory, who resigned for personal reasons. We are very excited about David becoming a member of our administrative team and leading Crossroads Middle School.
