FHS Junior Recognized with National Excellence Award

Julian Gyimah, a junior at Fairfield High School, was recently recognized with the Award of Excellence from the Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders. Julian participated in the program last summer. Participation is by academic nomination only, with all students having a minimum 3.25 grade point average to attend.
The Congress of Future Science and Technology Leaders was created by the National Academy of Future Scientists and Technologists to help interested students enter scientific or high-tech professions. Students from across the country who aspire to have careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields are selected for special recognition and ongoing
mentorship.

2017-2018 Quality Profile Released

As part of the Alliance for High Quality Education, the Fairfield City School District is pleased to announce the publication of the 2017-18 Quality Profile. Designed to be a companion to the state report card, the Quality Profile offers a comprehensive look at the district, giving insights into every aspect of the educational experience provided to students. Across the state of Ohio, nearly 85 school districts will release this publication in the coming weeks.

FHS Seeking New Community Diversity Alliance Members

Fairfield Senior High School is looking to start a Community Diversity Alliance (CDA) for this 2018-19 school year. This will be a group of people who work and serve the Fairfield Township & City communities in a variety of ways through their business, organization, non-profit, etc. The CDA will work with Principal Bill Rice, his administrative team and other Fairfield staff members to engage in conversations of how to better serve our students as well as how our FHS students can be better equipped to serve our Fairfield Township & City communities while in school and upon graduation.

Any interested individuals, organizations, businesses, non-profits, etc. can please click here to complete a short survey to include contact information and other relevant background details. Respondents will then be notified of the first meeting. The goal is to meet at least quarterly.
