She won a district Golden Apple award for work above and beyond her normal responsibilities, has been active in Girls on the Run as an assistant coach, and with the district's equity/diversity work. Cheerleading coach, Girl Scouts leader, and mentor are also among her interests. She will work with Principal Kim Wotring, named to the position after serving as Principal at West Elementary School.
Lisa Pugh, an assistant principal at Mt. Healthy South Elementary School, is the new assistant principal at Crossroads Middle School (the current Intermediate School).
Lisa has experience teaching students in grades 3-6 as well as in math and science. She spent a year in a lead teacher role, which helped her develop many of the skills necessary to be a successful assistant principal. A few of her responsibilities included creating and providing professional development opportunities for teachers, conducting evaluations, and serving as an instructional coach. She was a Building Leadership Team member, and also monitored the building-wide PBIS program expectations. She will join Principal Michael McCrory and Assistant Principal Allison Cline at Crossroads.
