SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST
|
Your child will need personal school supplies throughout the upcoming school year. When your child returns to school on Thursday, August 28, 2008, please send him/her with the following items:
- one box of standard Crayola Crayons (24 count or less)
- one pair of Fiskar scissors
- one 4 oz. bottle of white Elmers glue
- one spiral bound notebook
- two glue sticks
- two yellow highlighters
- two dry erase markers
- four pocket folders with fasteners
- #2 pencils with erasers (sharpened please)
- wide-lined notebook paper (grades 3 and 4 only)
- one school box (just large enough to hold the smaller items)
- one box of Kleenex
Should your child need replacement supplies throughout the year, his/her teacher will let you know. We hope this information will assist you in purchasing these supplies as you see the back-to-school sales begin.

Class Lists for 08-09 |
Class lists will be posted on the front windows of the school Wednesday, August 20th. Bus routes will be mailed home to each individual student the week prior to the beginning of school.

| Wednesday, August 27th - Open House |
Open House will provide an opportunity for students and parents to visit the classroom and meet their child's teacher. Each classroom teacher in Grades 2-4 will be giving a 20 minute formal presentation to explain the specifics of the grade level expectations. First Grade will hold a separate Curriculum Night on Thursday, September 11th. Details will be sent home after school begins in August.
The schedule will be as follows:
6:00-6:45 p.m. - Grade 1 (feel free to stop in anytime during the 45 minute block to meet the teacher)
6:00-6:45 p.m. - Grade 2 (formal presentation will be from 6:10-6:30)
6:45-7:15 p.m. - -Special Area Meet the Teachers (feel free to stop in and visit Art, Music, P.E., Reading and Library classrooms)
7:15-8:00 p.m. - Grades 3 & 4 (formal presentation will be from 7:25-7:45)
More information concerning Open House will be mailed to each student in their Welcom Letter in August. You can expect those in the mail after August 20th.

| Dunking Booth Fun |
During the month of May, students were earning tickets with their good behavior. Each ticket would be worth on throw at the dunking booth. Mr. Trauthwein, Mrs. Knox, Mrs. Wright, Mrs. Bell and Mr. Jeffers took turns in the booth. On June 3rd and 4th, students spent the tickets they had earned. It was very refreshing for the students and teachers (especially when they got dunked!).
