TESSA CASEY (SR)
Softball

"Tessa has been "clutch" for the team in many late inning wins this season. She was the winning run in the Lakota West game, her late 2 out hit in the Mt Notre Dame game and Milford game were instrumental in keeping the inning alive for us to come from behind and win the game."

JAKE ELMLINGER (SR) Baseball

"Jake pitched a complete game shut-out to lead the Indians to a 4-0 victory over Hamilton Friday afternoon. Jake only allowed two hits in the sectional tournament victory raising his season record to 7-0."

"Aaron went 6-10 for a .600 batting average. He also made a game saving throw in the 1-0 win over Middletown and help lead his team to a 6-5 win over Centerville with three hits."

JUSTIN BAKER (SR)
Volleyball

"Justin has played extremely strong for us all season. As a libero, Justin is our defensive specialist and he leads the entire GMC in digs and is currently top 5 in the GMC in passing accuracy points on serve. This past week he broke our school record in digs after tallying 26 digs against Alter (his season high in a match), 13 digs against Edgewood and 12 digs against Roger Bacon."

ALLISON HURST (JR) Softball Catcher

"Allison's double in the bottom of the 8th inning scored pinch runner Katelyn Tebbe for the winning run in the Mt Notre Dame game. Allison bats in the clean up spot and has 1 HR, 5 doubles, 22 hits and 11 RBI's on the season. She is second on the team with a .349 batting average."

CAMERON EGBERT (SR) Volleyball

"Cameron played exceptionally strong this past week helping us defeat all three opponents - Mason, Chaminade-Julienne and Princeton. He totaled 19 kills, 4 aces, 5 blocks and 6 digs. He is one of our most consistent offensive players; he is a natural leader on the team; and we rely on his strong serving to win games."

"Daniel won first place in the boys discus at the Elder Rally's Invite.  He threw a personal best 137'6" in the meet.  Congrats to Daniel on the win and his personal best throw."

MAAME DEBRAH-PINAMANG (JR)
TRACK & FIELD: HURDLES/RELAY

"Maa lead the girls track team with three first place finishes at the Elder Rally's invitational Friday night.  She won both the 100 and 300 hurdles and was a member of the first place ladies 4x100 meter relay team.  Three first place finishes is a great accomplishment for an athlete."

"Will batted .555 by going 10-18 - his 3-riun homer was a game winner vs Hamilton.  Will also scored 8 runs to help the Indians to a 3-2 record last week."

LOGAN BROOKS (SR) - Volleyball

"Logan is our returning varsity setter who last week totaled 90 assists, 11 aces and 4 kills.  For the season, Logan currently leads the GMC in assists (208) and although he is an extremely talented setter, he shined even brighter this past week as a leader and decision maker, through his serving and even his defense.  He's developed into a complete volleyball player and is a key reason why we won all three of our matches defeating Lakota East, Carroll and Hamilton."

"Josh pitched in relief as the winning pitcher to defeat Oak Hills on Monday and pitched a complete game in the Indian's win over Lakota West on Friday."

"Kelly is our lead-off hitter. She had a walk off double in the extra inning win over Loveland. She also had her 1st career homerun against Sycamore. She is tied for second in RBI's for the team."

CAMERON TERRELL (SR) - Volleyball

"Cameron is one of our captains, our only 3-year varsity player and he helped us get out to a strong start this past week as we began the season with a 3-1 record. Cameron leads our team in kills (30), kill efficiency (.353), serving percentage (94.8%), and is currently 2nd on our team in assists (36) and passing points for accuracy (120)."

Softball Pitcher

"Jaisa led the team to 2 victories over Princeton and Colerain. She had her first homerun on the season to take a 2-0 lead over Colerain. She has 18 strikeouts in the first 3 games of the season."

DANIELLE MOORE (FR) - Gymnastics

"Danielle is a very supportive team mate, always taking care of her team. Danielle broke her foot in the middle of the season and we did not think she would be back. The doctor released her the week before cities. She competed all four events at districts and had the best meet of her season. Danielle was able to be so successful do to her training while she was off for her foot."

"Neal finished 5th (State alternate) at the district wrestling meet. He has been a consistent wrestler all season long."

GREYSUN BARDEN (FR) - Wrestling

"Greysun captured the 103 pound sectional championship on Saturday. His victory also paced the tribe to a solid 2nd place team finish. Grey has been a steady wrestler all season long and he currently has 18 wins."

DJ KERTH (SR) -
Bowling

"DJ bowled games of 230-202-236 for a 668 series at the Sectional Tournament. Dj helped lead his team to a 1st place victory at the Sectional Tournament as well as qualifying to the District Tournament. Dj had the high series of the Sectional Tournament held at Colerain Bowl last Saturday while bowling on a tougher lane condition then normal."

Wrestling

"Adam captured the 119 lb GMC Championship on Saturday. He dominated all of his opponents and helped lead the Indians to a 4th place finish."

"Josh helped lead the Indians to 2 victories over the weekend.  In two wins over Mason and Lebanon, Josh had a team high total of 22 points, 9 assists, and 6 steals."

CONNOR SUTTON (SR) - Bowling

"Connor was Fairfield's high bowler for this past week and averaged 231.5 a game for 4 games. Connor's average improved to 219.0 and he is in 2nd place in the GMC for high average -- only 0.4 pins behind the leader.
In the first match, Connor led Fairfield to a victory over Lakota West with games of 267 and 243 at Fairfield Lanes. In the second~match, he bowled games of 214 and 202 in a loss by a mere 5 pins to Northwest.
Last year, Connor was a first team all-conference bowler in the GMC. Connor's leadership has helped anchor a strong Fairfield varsity bowling team. He is a proven clutch bowler, he is respected by his entire team, and I look for his leadership to guide us as we begin our post-season march towards the State Tournament."

JESSICA BROWN (FR) - Gymnastics

"Jessica was been working very hard a practices and it showed this past weekend at the Badin Quad. Jessica had her best floor routine of the season. She placed 4th all-around."

DREW ROBBINS (SR) - Wrestling

"Drew defeated both opponents from Greenville and Miamisburg on Wednesday. His 2 pins helped lead the Indians to victory."

AMELIA MACKINNON (JR) - Swimming

"Ami finished 3rd in the 200 IM and 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke, posting season best times in both, in the girls 2nd place finish against Kings and Little Miami on Saturday night.  She was also a part of the 2nd place 200 Freestyle relay and 4th place Medley Relay teams.  Ami continues to work hard and drops time every time she competes."

ARRYN CHENAULT (SR) - Basketball

"Arryn led the Indians over the weekend with a double double...12 points and 11 rebounds. Arryn also added 3 blocks and 2 steals in a hard fought 49-46 defeat to Middletown."

"John was a member of 3 winning relays in the team's win over Middletown and Edgewood High Schools. He also won the 100 backstroke posting his best time of the season and a top 10 time in the District."

ANDY DIXON (SR) -
WRESTLING

"Andy is a team captain and one of the leaders of our team. Andy has been one of our most consistant wrestlers this season. Andy pinned his opponent from Oak Hills last Thursday and has placed in every tournament this season."

SARAH SCHAEFER (SO) - Swimming

"Sarah competed in some of the longest and toughest events this past weekend at the SW District Classic but achieved best times in the 400 and 200 Individual Medleys and the 100 and 200 Breaststrokes. Her hard work at practice everyday is the reason she can swim those difficult events. Way to go Sarah!."

DOMNICE DAY (JR) -
Wrestling

"After losing first round of the Fairfield Invitational, Domnice came through with 5 straight victories. He finished the tournament in 3rd place and helped lead the Indians to a team runner up finish."

TIM MANGOLD (SR) -
Bowling

"Tim's great scores helped Fairfield win both matches the week of 1/4/10. For the week, Tim averaged 244
In the match on 1/4/10 against undefeated Middletown, Tim started the match with the first 7 strikes. He ended up bowling games of 254 and 246 which not only helped Fairfield beat Middletown, but also helped to nearly set a GMC match scoring record. The team shot 3174 and beat Middletown by 435 pins.
In the second match of the week, Tim continued his hot streak with a 234 game which led the team in their Victory over Monroe on 1/6/10.
Tim raised his overall average up to 202.8. He is now ranked 15th in the GMC conference. Tim is balancing a very busy schedule; he is participating in Choraliers as well as the bowling team. Tim is a 3rd year Varsity bowler and is providing the consistency, high energy and performance that will continue to lead this team throughout the season. Tim is hitting mid-season form and I expect continued great scores from Tim as we enter the second half of the regular season."

ERIKA SALTER (JR) -
Basketball

"Erika has been playing very well the past few weeks. In our first victory of the season, Erika tallied 8 points against West Carrollton and had a (team) season high 16 points in a losing effort against Princeton. She is a leader both on and off the court."

CARTER ADAMS (JR) - Swimming

"Carter won 6 individual events out of 6 in our 3 dual meets over break and helped the boys win 2 out of those 3 meets.  He set personal best times in the 100 Breaststroke against Hamilton and the 200 IM against Lebanon."

RACHEL DRAKE (SO) - Swimming

"Rachel won 2 individual events in a win against Hamilton and came in second in 2 other events as the girls' team lost 2 close meets to Oak Hills and Lebanon.  She worked extremely hard at practices over break and is a great leader on the team."

"Joshua led the Indians to 2 victories over the break. Josh played great defense to go along with 11 points, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 12 rebounds in the wins over Hamilton and Fairmont."

"Austin beat a state runner-up from Lakota West on Friday. His victory helped lead the Indians to victory over Lakota West. He is currently 5 - 1 on the season."

"Danielle placed first all-around at the Alter meet on 12-12-09. She also placed first on bars, second on vault, first on floor, third on beam. Danielle has been one of the key gymnasts on our team this year."

Wrestling

"Ray went 5 - 0 on the weekend. Ray is a team captain. He helped lead our team to victories over Beavercreek, Lexington Trinity, Lancaster, and Springboro."

REBECCA RUBERG (JR) - Bowling

"Rebecca had an incredible opening week for Fairfield's Girls Varsity Bowling. In the season opener against Lakota East, Rebecca led the Indians to a victory with a 410 series. In the second match against Colerain, Rebecca continued her hot streak bowling a 268 game and a 407 series. In the first tournament of the year Rebecca bowled a 318 series. Helping the Girls finish 2nd in the Big Blue Challenge. Rebecca is currently 3rd in the GMC with a 189.2 average."

RUSSELL TURNER (SR) - Football

"Russell is a captain on the football team and plays defensive line. He has played well all year as our rush defense is one of the best in the League. Last week against Mason, Russell had an interception and a sack. Way to go Russell!"

"Jamie played especially strong on service reception and defense this past week leading our team in digs with a total of 38. For the season, she leads our team in serving percentage at 97%."

"Colby is a captain on the soccer team and plays in the midfield. He has played well all year and maintained his focus. He is very skilled and great vision that helps our team attack."

"Lauren posted two goals this week against two GMC schools. The first goal Lauren took on four defenders to score against the #9 team in the state. Her second goal was a break away with a finish due to great composure. Lauren currently has 7 goals and 2 assists on the season."

DALLAS HARRIS (SR) -
Tennis

" Dallas, a 4 year veteran of the Fairfield Girls Tennis Team normally plays 1st doubles. This week she was called on to play as our 3rd singles player in the Sectional meet at Mason.  Dallas stepped up and defeated 2nd singles player Fath of Northwest as well as defeating 2nd singles player Thinnes of Colerain before being defeated by Soutar of Lakota West.  During the tournament and especially during the Lakota West match, Dallas moved her game up to a new level of ability."

KARSEN CRONIN (JR) - Volleyball

"Last season, Karsen set our school record in kills, was voted 1st team All-GMC, and 2nd Team All-Conference - stepped up her play this week coming through in clutch situations to give our team two much needed victories.  Playing three GMC matches this week, her performance on the court was extremely strong totaling 57 kills, 51 digs, and 10 aces.  She also had an exceptionally strong passer rating of 2.25 this week.  Her attention on defense and dominance on offense has given our team a huge boost."

RYAN BARNES (JR) -
Golf

"Ryan earned First Team All-GMC honors at the Conference Tournament finishing third overall in individual scoring. He shot a total 157 over the two day event to lead the Indians golf team. For the season, he has a scoring average of 39 per nine holes of golf played."

CHRISTIAN JOHNSON (SR) - Soccer

"Christian is the captain on the varsity soccer team. He has helped lead the defense all year. Christian is extremely skilled and able to stop the opponent's attack. Last week the team posted 2 shutouts and now have a total of 8 on the season."

TAYLOR BERRYMAN (SR) -
Volleyball

"Taylor has been our most improved player over the course of the last couple weeks.  For the entire season but especially in the last couple weeks, as a captain, she has set an example of how to work and improve even when we were struggling to get wins.  This week her leadership, hard work and open mindedness to coaching has helped keep our team working hard with positive attitudes as we swept our tri-match two weekends ago and split our tri-match this past weekend. Including last Saturday's games, Taylor has 45 attacks, 14 kills, and 18 blocks. Without her strong play on the court and positive attitude and leadership off the court, these three wins in our last five games would have been tough to achieve!"

" Kiersten had a hand in all four goals scored last week. She posted three assists and one goal leading us to two conference victories. Kiersten is currently the third leading scorer in the GMC."

"Josh kicked a game winning 37-yard field goal with 17.6 seconds remaining. Princeton tried to ice Josh by calling two time outs before his kick.  Josh has been doing a great job for us all year!"

NATHAN DUCKLO (SR) - Soccer

"Nathan is the team's goalkeeper.  He played excellent the past week and helped the team defeat the #4 ranked team in the state!  He provided shutouts against Lakota West and East with a combined 16 saves.  Nathan has 6 shutouts in 9 games."

Golf

"Lindsey shot a career low 37 against Colerain. In addition, she shot 41 vs Oak Hills and 40 against Sycamore. This week she has bettered her average by a full stroke at 42.08 which leads the team."

Golf

"Kayla shot a career low 39 against Oak Hills and followed it up with a 40 vs. Sycamore. As a result, she has dropped her stroke average by almost one stroke this week. She is second on the team with an average of 43.66."

Cross Country

"Anthony, who is a 2nd year varsity runner and number 1 Fairfield runner, finished 7th place at the Lebanon Invitational running a 16:35 pacing the boys team to a 5th pace finish out of 17 teams."

"Kyle is a senior, forward on the varsity soccer team. He provides a great work rate for the team and currently leads the offense. Last week he scored 1 goal vs. Milford, 2 goals vs. Elder, and 1 goal and an assist vs. Northwest."

CHRISTI GRIMES (SR) - Volleyball

"Christi is a three-year varsity player, 2nd year as captain and a tremendous leader and spark plug for our team.  On Saturday, she tallied 25 assists, 9 digs, 2 kills, and 2 aces.  She was extremely instrumental in our victory to start the season 1-0."
