School hours are 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Students are considered tardy if they are not in their classrooms by 9:05 a.m. New School Board policy states that three unexcused tardies equal one unexcused absence. It is important for students to be at school on time daily.

Latchkey: Our Latchkey program is available before and after school. The hours are from 6:30 a.m. to the start of the school day and at the end of the school day to 6 p.m. You need to register your child for this program prior to use. Please contact Chris Loy at 829-0489 for more information and/or a registration packet.

Character Counts...
At South Elementary School we believe it is important not only to help our students excel academically, but to help their character grow as well. Each month we focus on teaching our students the importance of good character through lessons, modeling, and daily announcements. We recognize and award students for showing good character through-out their daily actions and choices. Each month we focus on learning about a different character trait that will make each of us better people and make South Elementary a happy and safe place to be!
SEPTEMBER- RESPECT
OCTOBER- RESPONSIBILTY
NOVEMBER- PERSERVERANCE
DECEMBER- CARING
JANUARY- COURAGE
FEBRUARY- HONESTY
MARCH- FAIRNESS
APRIL- COOPERATION
MAY- CITIZENSHIP

HELP US COLLECT BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION
. Don't forget to save your Campbell's food labels and Box Top to send into school. Your child's classroom could be a winner for the most each month. The winning classroom receives a treat if they turn in the most labels that month. In May, the classroom that has brought in the most all year will win a pizza party! Even if your child's class never wins, North School wins. The school uses the labels and points collected to buy items that are needed. So help out and save those labels.
