Students have the opportunity to complete at least four years of foreign language instruction in French, German, Latin, and Spanish. Most students will begin their foreign language program at the start of their ninth grade year. While two years of the same language technically qualifies as the foreign language entrance requirement for most colleges, it is strongly recommended by both colleges and by the high school that you complete three years of instruction in the same language.
