For those of you unfamiliar with our district, we are north of the City of Cincinnati, just outside the Interstate-275 beltway and west of Interstate-75. Our residents live in the 38.2 square miles that make up the City of Fairfield and Fairfield Township.

As of October of 2010, we had approximately 10,100 students grades preschool through 12.

We have nine schools and one operations building, a transportation complex and a central maintenance facility.

We are proud of our district, its community and its people. If you are a resident and reading this, thank you for your ongoing support and for your dedication to excellence. If you are a visitor to our site and/or our community, welcome to the Fairfield City School District!

The Fairfield City School District provides fertile ground for growing Fairfield’s future business, community and political leaders. Fairfield schools provide a challenging and supportive environment for the education of our students.

Academic Excellence is reflected in student performance on state proficiency and achievement exams and in the outstanding performance of students enrolled in Advanced Placement and Honors Programs, ranging from AB and BC Calculus to Chemistry, Art and Government. Upon completing their general music requirement in fifth grade, roughly 50 percent of Fairfield’s sixth- through eighth-graders continue to participate in instrumental and chorus classes and performing groups. 20 to 25 percent of Fairfield High School's students continue these musical experiences. The result of such active participation and commitment among students, staff and parents (The Tempo Club) is an unsurpassed level of achievement. In grades 5-12, the Fairfield Schools offer students opportunities to join 13 concert, marching and jazz bands, seven symphonies and orchestras, nine concert and showchoirs and glee clubs and the Thespians.

Whether in concert or competition, these groups – from the Fifth-Grade Glee Club and Middle School Rhythm Express to the High School Chamber Winds and Wind Ensemble – sustain Fairfield’s tradition of excellence and our district’s state and regional reputation as a leader in the performing arts.

District athletics programs are offered to about 30 boys and girls athletic teams, including about 20 Greater Miami Conference (GMC) sports and dance programs. Athletic programs include district, regional and state champions in both individual events and team sport. A variety of competitive academic extra-curricular teams and student clubs ensure that the district's students have access to a well-rounded education.

Fairfield Greater Miami Conference Athletic Programs: Academic Team, baseball, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls bowling, cheerleading, chess, boys and girls cross-county, boys and girls diving, football, boys and girls golf, gymnastics, boys and girls soccer, softball, boys and girls swimming, boys and girls tennis, boys and girls track, boys and girls volleyball, and wrestling.
