Pandemic Planning
The Fairfield City School District actively participates in local, county and state health and safety associations, and within the past year has helped county officials develop a response plan to a possible pandemic avian flu (bird flu) outbreak. In August 2006, the district sent a letter to all parents regarding these preparations. It includes tips parents can use to help families minimize risk of exposure and keep pandemic flu - as well as other contagious illnesses - from spreading.
